Just want to wish all of you a very happy, safe, and fun Thanksgiving holiday!
I haven’t been at the easel much lately. My inner crafter kicks in as Christmas approaches so I have been busy with a few holiday projects. Since I am not cooking for Thanksgiving (thank you Kelly & Matthew) I had the chance to finish upcycling an old wooden shutter I found floating in the street after the last Nor’easter. It was in pretty bad shape but I liked the patina and figured I could find some good use for it. A couple of picks and some craft store letter cut outs and paint and here is a new door decoration! It is nothing fancy but it is a great piece for a narrow corner. I added a thin red line with washi tape in between each fat one to make it look more like a candy cane and less like prison stripes. What do you think?
