Sunday, June 4th marks the opening of Studio Yu’s Summer Exhibition at beautiful Princeton Abbey. The grounds and buildings are worth a trip on their own but coupled with the truly gorgeous stained glass windows (there are stained glass tours on Sunday afternoon) and Studio Yu’s fabulous art, this is truly a worthwhile day trip.
The church was built in the 1930’s and the stonework of all the buildings on the site is nothing short of amazing. The manicured lawns are peppered with a variety of mature trees, creating lovely patches of shade around the grounds.
Inside the chapel, the stained glass windows come alive on a sunny day. Each window has a story to tell, but really, a picture is worth 1000 words here:
The Opening Reception for Studio Yu begins at 5 PM. Stained glass tours at 3 and 4 PM.
